Given that the first One Piece movie was not the best in terms of writing, I lowered my expectations for this one. I'd have to say that I enjoyed this one slightly more than the first movie though. The animation was really good though not as good as the first movie. The new characters were a lot more interesting in this movie. The fight scenes were also really well done.  Quite a few of the jokes also were quite funny. Some of the problems were however that at times it could feel like a generic filler plot. I also didn't really like the ending that much either. Overall, while this was an improvement from the first one, it still was far from a great movie.

I would have to say that this is a really good movie that's not for me. The writing was really good and I felt that the chemistry between Neal and Del was really good. I found some of the jokes to be really funny as well. I also found some of the scenes to be emotional. When I heard that they were making a prequel focused on Tohru's parents, I was really excited for it. I finally got around to watching it when it got put on Crunchyroll. I was a bit disappointed that part of it was a recap though I'm glad that the recap only lasted 30 minutes. The recap did feel largely like it was only there to fill time though.
