Since I got into horror movies, I wanted to give The Evil Dead series a try but my parents suggested this movie saying that I'd like it more. It was okay. I think that Raimi's directing was really great and you could tell that he made it. I think that the horror was done quite well. I found some of the goofier scenes to be quite entertaining. The acting was good and I think that it worked well along with the practical effects which I wasn't expecting to see that much of given this movie's release year. I thought that the digital effects however, were absolutely terrible. There were also quite a lot of gross-out scenes which I didn't really like either. Overall, I enjoyed this movie but it's far from perfect.

I would have to say that this is a really good movie that's not for me. The writing was really good and I felt that the chemistry between Neal and Del was really good. I found some of the jokes to be really funny as well. I also found some of the scenes to be emotional. This might be personal bias because I grew up with the show, but I found The Flintstones scene to be really funny. When I heard that they were making a prequel focused on Tohru's parents, I was really excited for it. I finally got around to watching it when it got put on Crunchyroll. I was a bit disappointed that part of it was a recap though I'm glad that the recap only lasted 30 minutes. The recap did feel largely like it was only there to fill time though.
