Well, I finally started One Piece and along with the main show itself, I decided to watch all of the movies, TV specials and OVAs, including this one. To say that this was the first anime adaptation of One Piece and it wasn't even done by Toei Animation who made the main show, this was really good. The animation was really great and the cel animation looked good. The music was also nice to listen to. I liked the action. The characters were also really well-written. That being said, it wasn't perfect as I didn't find either the storyline or the villain to be that interesting. Other than those flaws, this was a fun OVA to watch and for a first adaptation, this was really good and goes to show how Production I.G. would have handled One Piece.

I would have to say that this is a really good movie that's not for me. The writing was really good and I felt that the chemistry between Neal and Del was really good. I found some of the jokes to be really funny as well. I also found some of the scenes to be emotional. When I heard that they were making a prequel focused on Tohru's parents, I was really excited for it. I finally got around to watching it when it got put on Crunchyroll. I was a bit disappointed that part of it was a recap though I'm glad that the recap only lasted 30 minutes. The recap did feel largely like it was only there to fill time though.
