This has to be probably the most hyped that I have ever been for a Simpsons episode I've ever been and I would have to say, it delivered. I found it to be really funny with basically all of the jokes landing. The animation was great with the animation by DR. Movie in the Death Tome segment being absolutely fantastic. The Pookadook segment was probably one of the scariest Treehouse of Horror segments of all time. I loved all of the classic references in the Simpsons World segment. I also thought that the Bob's Burgers crossover was nice to see even if it was short. I loved the Death Tome segment the most though that may be because I love the Death Note anime. The character designs translated surprisingly well into an anime artstyle and now I want to see a full Simpsons anime. Overall, this episode was fantastic and is not only one of the best of season 34, but also one of the best of the entire show.

When I heard that they were making a prequel focused on Tohru's parents, I was really excited for it. I finally got around to watching it when it got put on Crunchyroll. I was a bit disappointed that part of it was a recap though I'm glad that the recap only lasted 30 minutes. The recap did feel largely like it was only there to fill time though.
