I watched the ODDTAXI anime series when it first released in spring of 2021 and I really enjoyed it. When I heard they were making a recut movie version of the series containing additional scenes, I was really excited. I won't lie and say it wasn't annoying having to wait an additional 5 months after Japan got it to be able to watch it though. I'd have to say it was a really good compilation movie, I didn't feel like it cut out too much out of the series and kept enough that it was not confusing. I did feel like the "Tanaka's Revolution" episode should've have more focus though. I felt that the pacing towards the start was done better than in the first couple of episodes in the show because of the cutting though. In terms of the new content, I felt it was fun to watch all of the characters telling their side of the story as it made it feel more like a crime documentary than a drama and giving it a nice fresh spin. I also felt that the added scenes towards the end did a really good job at wrapping up the cliff-hanger introduced at the end of the show. One of the few problems was that I didn't really like how at some point it just turned into the last episode basically unaltered. Other than that it was really good though I'd probably choose to re-watch the series over this movie.
